Mission

We exist to build young ballplayers of strong Character who compete for Championships and are prepared to be productive Citizen Leaders #3CBaseball

Our three C’s will drive us. The purpose of sport is to develop habits and skills that will benefit our young people and our aim will be to also lead with the development of character in our young athletes.  Equally, we want to teach our players to play the game of baseball the right way and at a Championship level. Finally, the game of baseball is a powerful tool to build the next generation of leaders for our society and country. Our passion is to ensure our players will leave our program better people and leaders.

Vision

Over the next five years, we will build Chicago’s premier community baseball organization.  The rise of travel baseball has diminished the impact of community baseball.  We will seek to reverse this tide by offering an empowering and developmental community based house league program alongside highly competitive affordable all-star programs.  All programs will avoid over specialization and support multi-sport participation. Our programming will prioritize building the habits, mindsets and skills necessary to become championship ballplayers and productive citizen leaders.

Sheridan McGuane Baseball has always been about the community, family focus and building awesome baseball memories for our players and families. We are Chicago’s center city baseball program with broad impact across the city.
We highly value diversity and seek to ensure that the game of baseball remains accessible to all of Chicago’s families.

We are intentional about keeping our focus on community baseball that is available to any young person who is interested in learning and enjoying the great game of baseball.

In addition to our quality house league experience, we also provide highly quality competitive all-star programs. Our Generals All-Star program runs from 8U through 13U. This program provides a more competitive experience for higher level players who are willing to commit more time throughout the summer.

Our all-star programs demand higher level commitments but we are careful to avoid the current tide of young athletes specializing in one sport from a young age. We love baseball but we want to ensure that our players have the opportunities to play and compete in other sports and activities. Sheridan McGuane Baseball is both excellent and community based.
