The Generals all-Star Program
Our Generals Program is our highly competitive All-Star baseball and softball program. This program is designed for players who are ready for more competitive baseball. Our Generals teams play an extensive tournament schedule throughout the summer with a significant practice commitment.
These teams keep focus on our values but provide a higher level of competition against other programs across the city and state. Many programs would call their equivalent program “Part-Time Travel” or something similar. We use the word “All-Stars” as our players typically earn their spots on the team through house league performance and effort.
The Generals season starts in late June and our teams compete in the Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth Tournament Trail. The Cal Ripken Tournament trail culminates in an incredible World Series Tournament in early August for teams that earn their way through the State and Regional Tournaments.
Please check out this website to learn more about Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth Baseball.
This program is named after the namesake of Sheridan Park, General Phillip Henry Sheridan. General Sheridan was a civil war hero and later was instrumental in limiting the spread of Chicago’s great fire in 1871.
Our Generals teams wear the colors Black and Gold to represent the tradition behind this unique name.
